Rates of A-statistical convergence of positive linear operators

In the classical summability setting rates of summation have been introduced in several ways (see, e.g., [10], [21], [22]). The concept of statistical rates of convergence, for nonvanishing two null sequences, is studied in [13]. Unfortunately no single de...nition seems to have become the “standard” for the comparison of rates of summability transforms. The situation becomes even more uncharte...

Weighted A-Statistical Convergence for Sequences of Positive Linear Operators

We introduce the notion of weighted A-statistical convergence of a sequence, where A represents the nonnegative regular matrix. We also prove the Korovkin approximation theorem by using the notion of weighted A-statistical convergence. Further, we give a rate of weighted A-statistical convergence and apply the classical Bernstein polynomial to construct an illustrative example in support of our...

from linguistics to literature: a linguistic approach to the study of linguistic deviations in the turkish divan of shahriar

chapter i provides an overview of structural linguistics and touches upon the saussurean dichotomies with the final goal of exploring their relevance to the stylistic studies of literature. to provide evidence for the singificance of the study, chapter ii deals with the controversial issue of linguistics and literature, and presents opposing views which, at the same time, have been central to t...

About a class of linear positive operators

In this paper we construct a class of linear positive operators (Lm)m≥1 with the help of some nodes. We study the convergence and we demonstrate the Voronovskaja-type theorem for them. By particularization, we obtain some known operators. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 41A10, 41A25, 41A35, 41A36.

A linear k-fold Cheeger inequality

Abstract. Given an undirected graph G, the classical Cheeger constant, hG, measures the optimal partition of the vertices into 2 parts with relatively few edges between them based upon the sizes of the parts. The wellknown Cheeger’s inequality states that 2λ1 ≤ hG ≤ √ 2λ1 where λ1 is the minimum nontrivial eigenvalue of the normalized Laplacian matrix. Recent work has generalized the concept of...
